Green issues








What are the current industry green issues?

It is our priority as representatives in the packaging industry to react positively to the industry green issues such as:

1. Reduce - producing and using lower micron films including lightweight packaging to reduce the overall weight of packaging where possible.

2. Reuse - wherever possible create a packaging product that can be re-used and thus we have seen a growth in refill packs to encourage the life cycle of the original product purchased resulting in less waste.

3. Recycle - it is more important than ever for us to communicate to our clients and consumers that 'our' products are recyclable by making use of the relevant industry symbol.

4. Re-unite - as an industry we need to support and work together in the supply chain and educate the consumer by participating in industry Forums such as The Multilayer Packaging Forum, PETCO etc.
